Originally two fisherman's cottages, now one spacious house, Church Cottage is newly renovated to a very high standard; two super-king double bedrooms, a twin-bedded room and a bedroom with pair of bunk beds (plus cot). Decor is light and airy with a contemporary seaside theme. Beds are supremely comfortable with pocket sprung mattresses, bed linen is the finest Egyptian cotton, towels are big, white and fluffy. There is a wonderful family bathroom with huge double-ended bath, drench shower, loo and washbasin.
A storm porch with pegs for coats and space for boots leads to the entrance hall and downstairs loo. In the dining room a log-burning stove provides welcoming warmth and the oak table and chairs comfortably seat 10; a door off the dining room opens to the main patio area. The large sitting room is fantastic with huge squashy sofas, a serious CD system and open log fire. Floor coverings downstairs are Norfolk pamments (local terracotta tiles), natural coir and seagrass with rugs throughout.
The farmhouse style kitchen is very well equipped; Belfast sink, larder fridge, double oven, microwave and halogen hob, the utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. A further drinks fridge, a deep freeze and a fax machine are in the larder off the dining room. This room also houses the router for wireless broadband internet.
From the kitchen is the TV room with widescreen HD TV, Sky, DVD, video, tuner and CD system, French doors fold back extending the room on to the main patio area.
The large, child and dog secure garden is a delight. Three separate areas wrap around the cottage ensuring access to sun at all times of the day, two patios with table and chairs each, sun parasol, Weber gas BBQ, patio heater and outdoor log burner. Parking area for several cars, plus large garage and/or boat shed, with table tennis table. Separate access to garage directly from the secure garden.
